Jay Jones joins Financial Affairs as the new Director of Real Estate
Financial Affairs is pleased to announce that Jay Jones will be joining the Treasurer’s Office as
the new Director of University Real Estate, effective August 24th.
Jay Jones currently serves as the Director of Operations and Investigations for the Office of
Institutional Diversity and Equity. In this position, Jay has demonstrated an exceptional ability to
effectively collaborate with areas throughout the university, to successfully manage complex
organizational challenges, and to capably administer the finances and operations of a critical
department. With his legal experience, Jay is well-prepared to take on the responsibility of
negotiating and overseeing tenant contracting and leasing and, through his advanced studies in
public administration and finance, he is well-qualified to manage DePaul’s business interests as
they relate to its commercial tenants.
Before joining DePaul in 2006, Jay investigated attorney misconduct for the Supreme Court of
Illinois, worked with the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Cook County Department
of Human Resources, and served as a Non-Commission Officer in the United States Air Force. He
has extensive experience in personnel management, operational administration, and
professional negotiations. He is also an exuberant, dedicated and highly principled individual
who exemplifies the Vincentian values and organizational mission of DePaul.
Jay’s new office is located in the Treasury Suite on the 19th floor of 55 E. Jackson.
