Finding the Verb
Directions: Underline the verb in each sentence. Make sure you include helping
verbs.
1. After years of debt, Sally is now saving money.
2. She went to the bank and opened an account.
3. Her credit card companies were calling her all the time.
4. Sally had few dollars and no sense.
5. She even maintained charge accounts at local gas stations.
6. Late payments ruined her credit report.
7. Now, Sally balances her checkbook.
8. She budgets herself very tightly and never cheats.
9. Her credit and debt are slowly recovering.
10.Now, Sally relies only on herself!
