SAVING WATER AND MONEY IN THE WORKPLACE Water saving tips: Raising staff awareness is one of the most cost effective ways to save water at your workplace. When cleaning, get staff to use a bucket to wash and rinse where possible, instead of running the taps or hose. Use a broom instead of a hose to clean floors and pathways. Fix leaks quickly! Repairing faucets, pipes and hoses are easy ways to reduce water waste. Remember, one leaking faucet can waste approximately 500 gallons a month! Encourage staff to wait until they have a full load in the dishwasher before using it. This saves water and energy.
