Fine, Jerry Katchmar, Carolyn Katchmar, Roaseanne Christ, Jose Granda, Bill Roche,
Hilda Brosky, Karen Adams and Andy Wallach.

Middlestaedt, Lynne Minozzi, Mike Sbertoli, Kim Adamson, Steve Imm, & Terry Ward.
2. Chairman’s Comments: Jerry Katchmar commented on how great the new railings
in church looked, the church grounds, the flowers, etc; as well as the tiles in the Parish
Hall. He was very appreciative of how much the staff had done.
3. Fr. Tim’s Comments: Fr. Tim was grateful to everyone for all that they are doing.
He reminded everyone about the Veteran’s Celebration at the Cemetery tomorrow; the
Annual Memorial Mass for the deceased on Thursday evening; and of the Prayer Service
Bishop Dewane has requested for Nacent Human Life (in the womb) after the last Mass
on Nov 27. Fr. Tim said Mass attendance is picking up and expecting a full house at the
Masses.
Fr. Gordon’s Comments: Fr. supported the comments of the Pastor and he received an
applause! Chairman Jerry commented that he was being very Diplomatic!
4. Minutes of October 13, 2010: were accepted as written.
5. Committee Reports:
a. Religious Education: Peter Vale reported he was very happy to have 130
children from about 83 families participate. They did crafts and ice-breakers, pizza and
ping-pong, etc. Next time they will plan something for Christmas.
Fr. Gordon celebrated Mass for them on November 1 and they had about 200
involved. Afterward, they broke up into small groups.
Their 2nd meeting will be preparation for First Communion for about 35 children.
They are planning a dinner on Dec 6 for about 250 prepared by Bill Christ &
Gerry Brosky.
6. Presentations and/or parishioner’s comments or concerns: Deacon Mike
questioned how many families we have registered. Fr. Tim clarified we have 1900
families registered, but not all receive envelopes and not all are here year round.
Roseanne Christ asked if there was any way we could put information on the
website when there was a funeral scheduled so parishioners would know and could attend
the Mass. Fr. Tim said he would mention this to Kim, but she is very busy. He will
check if she could possibly train someone else to do that.
Joe Granda requested information on how to have a Memorial Mass for someone
already buried up north. Fr. Tim provided the information by informing Joe to contact
the office to check the availability for scheduling.
Fr. Tim said he received a phone call from a man that said we have about 100
Mexican-Hispanic heritage people on the Island and they wanted to march over here on
the 3rd Saturday of Advent. (Christmas Parade night!) Our Lady of Guadalupe is very
important to them. Fr. suggested doing a Sunday afternoon Mass for them. There was
much discussion on how to handle this. There was concern if we don’t, we will lose
them. The basic conclusion seemed to be for combining English and Spanish. After
hearing all opinions, Chairman Jerry gave the decision to Fr. Tim!
Chairman Jerry reminded members to be respectful of others and to raise their hands
when they wanted to talk.
7. Unfinished Business:
a. St. Vincent De-Paul Society - Andy Wallach reported St. Vincent De Paul
Society received $60,000 from collections from our Parish during the months of July,
Aug & Sept. This has helped them distribute to the needy.
b. Thanksgiving Dinner – Joe Granda reported that it will be celebrated at CJ’s
on the Bay due to a conflict. Vouchers would be presented to those in need. Next year,
2011 the Thanksgiving Dinner will be held in San Marco Parish Hall in conjunction with
Christmas Island Style. Hilda Brosky questioned how to rebuild our Ecumenical
relationship with the Presbyterian Church. Joe related they refused to go along with the
Christmas Island Style long term.
c. Parish Directory – Nancy Fine provided information of her contact with Olan
Mills. They have been in business since 1932. There is no charge to our Church. She
related that a volunteer team is not required, however, it might be a good idea and they
will train us if we want. We can sign up on a computer from anywhere. Everyone gets a
Parish Album and an 8x10 photograph free of charge. The parish albums will be
delivered within 35 working days after all pictures are taken. Having the pictures is
helpful for using for fundraisers and for getting better acquainted with one another. You
can look at the book on-line as well. There was much interest & discussion. Chairman
Jerry suggested Nancy contact the company again for additional information and report
back.
d. Guatemalan Community – Fr. Tim did not have anything new to report.
e. Speakers in the Cry Room – Fr. Tim reported they are in!
8. New Business:
a. Stewardship Day – There was not enough time for Hilda Brosky to give her
presentation, thus it was tabled for the next meeting on January 12, 2011.
Meeting adjourned 6:00 P.M. Closing Prayer – Fr. Gordon.
Respectfully submitted,
Carolyn Katchmar, Secretary
