Factors in the Demand for Labour affecting the changes in Wage Inequality Chapter 6. Analysis of the trends in the Distribution of Household Expenditure: the Wage and the Non-wage sectors. Chapter 7. Analysis of the Trends in the Incidence of Poverty: Poverty profiles at different dates 1988-2002 Chapter 8. Analysis of the Determinants of Poverty over the periods of growth, crisis and recovery. Part III The Case Study of Korea Chapter outlines to be decided later as the work progresses. It will cover the analysis of topics comparable to the Thai case in the periods of growth, crisis and recovery. Note, however, that the Korean growth story will relate to a period going further back than Thailand, and will depend more on secondary sources. Part IV The Comparative East Asian Experience (with special reference to the Thai and Korean cases) The Chapters in this part might be organized round three themes; A. Export Expansion and Inequality during the Period of Growth B. The Analysis of Labour Markets and Inequality in the periods of the recent crisis and recovery C.
