Document written in US English language Title * Rational Performance Tester: Creating a certificate store without using a Keytool This technote explains how to create a Digital Certificate store without the Keytool in IBM® Ratio Performance Tester (RPT). Symptom * Do not display Symptom on published web page Cause Environment Diagnosing the problem It is possible to create a Digital Certificate store without using the Keytool in Rational Performa Tester (RPT). You can export a certificate directly from a browser and create a store with the e file. Here are the steps to follow in order to create the Digital Certificate store using Microsoft® Explorer (IE): Tools –> Internet Options -> Content -> Certificates -> Personal Select Export -> Next Select Yes, export the private key Click the Next button Select Personal Information Exchange –PKCS #12 (.pfx) Check the Enable strong protection box. Click the Next button Enter password and confirmation Click the Next button Click the Next button Next, Click the Finish button When you export the certificate from IE you need to verify that the Export private key check b enabled (using IE's export wizard). The format should be PKCS#12, and you need to provide a password. Note: As outlined in the on-line Help, the password must be set to ‘default’ in order for RPT to recognize it. Once this is exported you should have a .PFX file; change this to .P12 (mycert.p12). Zip the ne exported file so that is now has a .zip extension (mycert.zip), then change the .zip extension to From RPT, go to File -> Import -> File System; this will import the newly created file into RPT allow you to associated to a test.
