Gingrich Is Your Man Florida Election Alert! See Action Items below: Gingrich quote from his own book: “That is why I worked so diligently as Speaker of the House to protect the Endangered Species Act, historic legislation that has been mired in some controversy…it is an essential conservation tool.” – Newt Gingrich. The Candidates are not talking about Federal land use or private property. Please consider the following before you vote. “We believe that in Mitt Romney you have the best chance to protect freedom, private property and the use of Federal lands,” said Chuck Cushman, Executive Director of the American Land Rights Association. If you are concerned that the government has gone too far with land use controls, land acquisition and extreme environmental regulations, you should support Mitt Romney. Gingrich Book “A Contract With The Earth” On Amazon tells you all you want to about why he is NOT the choice in 2012. Remember that this election is about jobs and the economy as you think about whom to support in a primary in your area. No Federal Act has done more to hurt the economy and jobs than the Endangered Species Act. None of the candidates are saying how they would save you, jobs and the economy from the Endangered Species Act. None are talking about the Endangered Species Act and the damage it has done to the economy. None of the Candidates are paying attention to rural land and community issues, private property or Federal land use issues. But we know a lot about Gingrich and his views on the Endangered Species Act. Please go to Amazon.com and look up Newt Gingrich’s book. Look at this quote from his own book: We are repeating the Gingrich quote from his own book: “That is why I worked so diligently as Speaker of the House to protect the Endangered Species Act, historic legislation that has been mired in some controversy…it is an essential conservation tool.” – Newt Gingrich. Read Gingrich's record and his “Contract with the Earth” book to expose the threat: “Gingrich is no Conservative” according the Joe Scarborough from the Morning Joe show in MSNBC. You can go to www.Amazon.com now and read about Gingrich’s book: “A Contract with the Earth”. As Speaker of the House in the 1990s Gingrich collaborated with major political and intellectual extreme environmental leaders, including E.O. Wilson at Harvard and others. Perhaps the best example of this is when Gingrich abused his enormous power to control legislation as Speaker by sabotaging Republican efforts to roll back the powers of government land use control agencies and the litigious environmental pressure groups under the power given them by the draconian Endangered Species Act. This was a very serious betrayal of his supporters who had helped to put Gingrich in his position as Speaker on behalf of the preliminary 'tea party' revolt of the time. No act has cost more jobs or hurt local communities more than the Endangered Species Act. Tens of thousands of forestry workers in the Northwest alone. Tens of thousands of jobs are threatened in other areas because of the extreme regulation forced by the Endangered Species Act. Neither Gingrich or Romney are talking about the Endangered Species Act, private property, Federal land use or rural communities. In Gingrich's 2006 book "A Contract with the Earth” with a forward by E.O.Wilson he unabashedly defended this and threatened to do more: Gingrich said: "Environmental stewardship is everyone's responsibility, including Congress's. That is why I worked so diligently as Speaker of the House to protect the Endangered Species Act, historic legislation that has been mired in some controversy. Despite its flaws -- and there are some -- it is an essential conservation tool. In my evaluation of the legislation, I sought the advice of leading biologists such as E.O. Wilson and Thomas Eisner, esteemed members of the National Academy of Sciences. Good government depends on the counsel of our nation's best scientists..." "Environmentalists are not exclusive to one political philosophy..." "No single enterprise, event, or idea will renew the earth. Instead, I believe it will take a movement composed of dedicated citizens who can see the world in a new way and who will work together to bring about revolutionary changes in the way we conduct our lives. A Contract with the Earth aims to inspire a commitment to protect the integrity of the natural world and to usher in a promising age of environmental problem solving..." "I will continue to articulate and address these issues in my public life, and I invite you to participate in a continuing dialogue... Work with us to restore and protect the good, green earth that our Creator has provided." “We believe these Gingrich quotes and his history on the Endangered Species Act indicate a willingness to support extreme regulation and land use controls at the expense of jobs and the economy,” said Chuck Cushman, Executive Director of the American Land Rights Association. *****Remember also the appalling Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich Commercial on Climate Change -- Watch it yourself: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi6n_-wB154 Consider this quote sent to me as part of a letter from a ALRA member in Ohio: “The environmentalists have become like a new religion, a new paganism, that worships trees and sacrifices people.” Newt Gingrich is especially close to the environmentalists. ALRA is reminding you to contact each of the campaigns of Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Paul and Obama to get them to discuss private property rights, Rural land issues, Federal land issues and what they would do to protect jobs and economy from the over regulation that currently exists. Especially the attack on private property by various Obama Federal land use proposals and of course, the Endangered Species Act. Both Romney and Gingrich have connections to the environmentalists. An uprising by voters must get both Romney and Gingrich to be responsive to rural, private property and Federal land issues. Whoever wins, they must be stopped from putting environmentalist activists into positions of power. See the Quote below how the environmentalists boasting about the importance of these appointments to them from the bio for Douglas Foy who was appointed by Romney to an influential position when he was governor of MA: http://serrafix.com/about.php Doug Foy - BS, Princeton University; JD, Harvard University - As a super-secretary in Governor Mitt Romney's cabinet, Doug oversaw transportation, housing, environment, and energy agencies, with combined annual capital budgets of $5 billion, and a total workforce exceeding 11,000. This unique position enabled him to put into practice many of the policies he developed over twenty-five years as head of the Conservation Law Foundation, New England’s premier environmental advocacy organization. Widely acknowledged as a leading environmentalist, Doug received the President’s Environmental and Conservation Challenge Award, the country’s highest conservation award, the Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service and an honorary "Officer of the Order of the British Empire". When you call think about these principles. -----A. Conservation is a public responsibility; the public must pay for regulation as well as the land itself when the government engages in land acquisition or regulatory takings to achieve public goals. -----B. Public goals, Federal land management and regulation of private property must not be driven by the excessive appetite of the extreme environmental groups. There was a saying about a former Congressman aligned with the environmental groups that “if they only tool he had was a hammer, everything he saw would begin to look like a nail.” Or as Ben Franklin said, “No ones land is safe as long as the legislature is in session.” -----C. To get control of our nations budget, we must control our public appetite for regulation, taking private property and land use planning and controls. -----D. Good science, based on data MUST be the basis for conservation (not 'best professional judgment' which is just opinion dressed up in $200 words). -----E. Outcome based conservation, which rewards clean water, air, and abundant species is more effective than top down command and control regulation which forces nature and people to live in a rigid regulatory box. Action Items: -----1. Call your Congressman in Florida and urge him to talk to the candidates about the Endangered Species Act, land rights, private property and the use of and access to Federal lands. Call any Congressman at (202) 225-3121. -----2. Do the same as above with both your Senators. Call any Senator at (202) 224-3121. -----3. Get in touch with each of the campaigns. Especially Romney and Gingrich. Ask for their e-mail and fax addresses. You must put pressure on them now to protect land rights, roll back the job killing regulations from the Endangered Species Act and other legislation. Before the election is the time to get promises about the future. Of course it appears that Gingrich will promise anything in Florida to get votes. It is critical to get the candidates discussing private property rights, land rights, Federal land use and access and other issues so important to recreation and rural America.
