Calling All Student Artists!
Submit your artwork for the AEP 2013 National Forum Young Artist Award!
April 4-5, 2013 in Washington, DC
How do you picture education
in the future? What do you
visualize as being the best way
to teach and learn? What role
do you think the arts should
play in learning?
About the AEP Young Artist Award:
The Arts Education Partnership’s (AEP) Young Artist Award was established in 2009 to highlight, honor, and support creative
and talented students and their dedicated teachers. AEP is a national coalition of more than 100 education, arts, business,
cultural, government, and philanthropic organizations dedicated to securing a high-quality arts education for every young
person in America.
What you do:
Submit an original work of visual art that responds to, reflects, or is inspired by the
theme of the AEP 2013 National Forum: Arts, Education, and the Next America. Your
design could appear on the front cover of our National Forum program booklet!
About the 2013 National Forum theme:
Seismic shifts in student demographics are creating more culturally and
linguistically diverse populations, emerging academic standards and
technologies are setting the bar for higher achievement, and the changing
priorities of our country’s leadership are making way for the next America.
How do you picture education in the future? What do you visualize as being the best way
to teach and learn? What role do you think the arts should play in learning?

What you get:
The winning artwork will be featured as the cover of the National Forum program booklet, and the winning artist will be
interviewed for a feature on the back cover! The winner receives a monetary prize presented in a special award ceremony at
the National Forum on the morning of Friday, April 5, 2013. Additionally, AEP will make a donation to the winning student’s art
teacher for the purchase of art supplies. The winning student and art teacher are invited to attend the National Forum as Artist
