Natural Sciences – General Education Outcome Proposal
Natural Sciences Outcome: LSSU graduates will be able to incorporate empirical
evidence in the analysis of the causes and consequences of natural phenomena.
The students in each General Education Natural Science course will be asked to complete
the following during the class period they fill out course evaluation forms:
Write a paragraph that details how this course enabled you to better understand the causes
and consequences of natural phenomena and what the role of experiments and/or
observations were in understanding those phenomena.
The instructor would grade these responses on a five-point scale, one being low; five
being high.
