You will be assigned a topic that you must research and then explain to your classmates.
The explanation should incorporate your knowledge of Optics and light to date. You may
choose to use a diagram to help explain.
You will be responsible for a quick 2 minute presentation to your small group. You will also be
responsible for ‘sharing’ a 1 page explanation with your group about your topic – 1 page should
include a diagram.

Water on pavement – The mirage
Phenomenon of moon image shimmering on water
Rainbows
Northern Lights
You may use Sections 12.5 & 12.7 in your text as a starting point, however this should not be
your only source. All sources should be properly referenced using APA format.
