1,450 to Receive Degrees at Dec. 20 Commencement
<p>Lincoln, Neb., Dec. 19, 2003 -- Approximately 1,450
students are scheduled to receive degrees from the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises
beginning at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Bob Devaney Sports
Center.
<p>Richard Edwards, who will return to the faculty in 2004
after 6 1/2 years as UNL's senior vice chancellor for
academic affairs, will give the address. Mary A. Zimmerman
of Northwestern University will receive an honorary doctor
of letters.
<p>Chancellor Harvey Perlman will preside over the
ceremony.
<p>The graduates hail from 38 states and 35 countries.
<p>A list of graduates follows. Information includes the
graduate's name, college, degree and any applicable honors
-- degree with distinction, high distinction, highest
distinction. Degrees offered on the UNL campus by the
University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of
Nebraska at Omaha are indicated by (UNMC) and (UNO). The
