SELECTION POLICY
FOR WOMEN’S REGION SIDES


Personal invitations with date of event and venue to go out to players and invitation
to go to clubs’ CCO for open invitation to club members.
Acceptance of invitation must be submitted to the Region by closing date. Late
entries will not be accepted and will not be included in the trials.

Players should nominate on entry form what position/s they would be of most value
to the team.

Players must attend trials unless they have a valid reason to be absent. If the player
can not attend the trial/s a phone call must be made to either the Chairman of
Selection or a member of the Selection Committee (as early as possible before the
trial).
Selection:



Players will be selected at trials not only on their performance but their
compatibility will also be taken into account.
Players must be available to travel to the venue the day before the event if
necessary.
Players selected as emergencies do not get to play unless there is injury or illness.
(The emergency can be a Committee member attending the venue)
