In-Class Essay
1. Explain the significance of nationalism and imperialism
in the world of 1919 with reference to: the changed map of Europe and
the Middle East, the Mandate System.
Note: this is a tricky one. There will be a lecture and I suggest
further reading; Google ‘1919 mandate system’.

Research one event in Russia from Revolution to
1941.
Topics will be assigned.

of’).
We will then tell the ‘Story of Russia’ together.
