Well established professional engineers who have attained the age of 35 and who, in addition to satisfying the conditions for ‘Member’, have brought superior knowledge and experience to an important post.
Competent engineers who have attained the age of 25 and have obtained an accredited degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technological discipline, plus sufficient training and responsible experience. Mature candidates aged 35 and over with appropriate experience but not necessarily formal academic credentials may also apply.
Engineering technologists who have attained the age of 23 and have obtained a Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in a relevant engineering or technological discipline or an acceptable equivalent, plus adequate practical training and sufficient responsible experience. Mature candidates aged 35 and over with appropriate experience but not necessarily formal academic credentials may also apply.
Persons who have obtained an accredited/recognized academic qualification, and have not yet
Companion qualified for a higher grade of membership.
Persons who are not engineers, but hold positions comparable with the class of ‘Member’ in a profession related to engineering.
Affiliate
Persons involved in, or with an interest in, engineering but who do not seek, or have not attained, any other class of membership.
