Spelling Homework Each week you will be required to earn a certain number of spelling points. Example: Your teacher assigns 30 spelling points this week. You may choose to earn these points doing any combination of the following activities. The number of points designated is stated above each homework item (i.e. alphabetize the words and earn 5 points). Each page must clearly identify the number of the assignment you completed and the point value (see paper headline below). All spelling assignments must be stapled together and turned in with your envelope on Friday morning. Late work will not be accepted. Example paper headline Name Date Activity # ___Points 5 points 1. Make a word search on graph paper (or computer) and solve it. 17. Write a definition for each word. 18. Write each word 4 times neatly in pen. 20 points 19. Write tongue twisters with the words. 20. Write poetry using all the words. 21. Cut the words out of magazines (or newspaper) and make a collage. 22. Make a crossword puzzle using 15 of the words and solve it. 23. Write a story using the words. 24. Draw a picture and hide all of your words in the picture. 25. Write newspaper headlines using the words. 26. Write each word 5 times neatly in pen.
