A scholarly exhibit catalog with a few large color and many more B/W illustrations of material in the Morgan library. Most descriptions focus entirely on book decoration, not structure. Very useful source of detailed information and drawings on Western bookmaking before 1500. Not duplicated elsewhere. Focus on Nothern European examples. One chapter on “limp” structures.
