Generación Q Is a youth based Hispanic LGBTQ group, established by UNITY
COALITION of MIAMI-DADE to offer LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender &
Questioning) youth, support and empowerment to develop as strong, productive and
proud adults.
Generación Q works to ensure that all young adults are valued and respected,
regardless of sexual orientation, actual or perceived. This is accomplished thru
community and school education, media awareness, youth related activities and a safe
place for open discussions and exchanges of ideas.
Generación Q was founded in 2003 as a youth advisory committee of the UNITY
COALITION (of MIAMI-DADE/COALICION UNIDA de MIAMI-DADE), a grassroots initiative
offering leadership on issues that concern Hispanic LGBTQ, and other minority groups.
Generación Q is governed by a youth advisory committee of its own choosing, with
the Generacion Q leader appointed to the Unity Coalition Board of Directors.
Generación Q meets regularly, and presents all policy and proceedures to the
UNITY COALITION Board of Directors for review & approval.
Generación Q concept, image, logo, name and all related versions thereof are the
property of UNITY COALITION, and cannot be used without the prior written
authorization of the UNITY COALITION Board of Directors.
UNITY COALITION of MIAMI-DADE/COALICION UNIDA de MIAMI-DADE, is a grassroots
initiative created to offer leadership on issues that concern Hispanic, LGBTQ and other
