This must be included. 2 Definitions Intelligence refers collectively to the functions, activities, people or organisations that are involved in the process of planning, gathering and analysing information that leads to the production of intelligence products which is of potential value to decision makers. Intelligence profile means an intelligence product based on defined criteria which targets entities for enforcement purposes. Intelligence summary refers to a summary of information gained from an intelligence product. Organisational requirements refer to instructions to staff on policies, procedures, and methodologies which are documented and are available in the workplace. They are consistent with applicable legislation and any other applicable compliance requirements. Planned action refers to an intelligence product or the outcomes generated as a result of an intelligence product which establish specific responses against entities or groups of entities. Examples of planned actions could be alerts on persons, goods, importers, proposed or recommended courses of action. Target refers to goods or persons against which intelligence and enforcement operations are conducted. 3 This unit standard applies to the production of proposed or recommended courses of action as well as profiles and planned actions that provide operational alerts and instructions to other users of the intelligence product. For the demonstration of this unit standard the profiles and planned actions are established using a combination of intelligence products and an electronic intelligence system. 4 The award of credit for this unit standard requires candidates to produce evidence following completion of at least three profiles or planned actions. Evidence requirements 2.1 Approval to activate the intelligence profiles and planned actions is obtained in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.2 Agreed intelligence profiles and planned actions are assigned in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.3 Intelligence summary is produced for entities against which intelligence profiles and planned actions have been established. entities include but are not limited to – persons, places, dates, times, events, vehicles, commodities. Range 2.4 All documentation is filed in accordance with organisational requirements. Outcome 3 Control, monitor, review, and maintain intelligence profiles and planned actions. Evidence requirements 3.1 Intelligence profiles and planned actions are reviewed in accordance with organisational requirements. 3.2 The results of intelligence profile updates and planned actions taken when target match has occurred are reviewed in accordance with organisational requirements. 3.3 Updates of intelligence profiles and planned actions are disseminated in accordance with organisational requirements. 3.4 This unit standard is expiring All documentation is filed in accordance with organisational requirements.
