KINZUA BRIDGE STATE PARK - LAND ACQUISITION Act of Aug. 12, 1963, P.L. 658, No. 343 AN ACT Providing for the acquisition by the Department of Forests and Waters of the Kinzua Bridge and certain adjoining grounds for a State park, and making an appropriation. Compiler's Note: Section 303(b) of Act 18 of 1995, which created the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and renamed the Department of Environmental Resources as the Department of Environmental Protection, provided that the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources shall exercise the powers and duties conferred upon the Department of Forests and Waters by Act 343 of 1963. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows: Section 1. The Department of Forests and Waters is hereby authorized to acquire by gift, purchase or condemnation proceedings, the Kinzua Bridge and such adjoining grounds in McKean County, Pennsylvania, as the Secretary of Forests and Waters may deem necessary. The bridge and grounds shall be preserved and maintained as a State park and be known as the Kinzua Bridge State Park. Section 2. The title of the real estate shall be taken in the name of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and shall, before its acquisition, be approved by the Department of Justice. Section 3. The sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), or as much thereof as is necessary, is hereby appropriated for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this act. Cl. 32
