Oversee the research activities for Fellows and Associates of the Center for Teaching and
Learning ( considered the research arm of the College of Education). Facilitate collaborative,
interdisciplinary and integrative projects and clinical practice. Help with public relations and
community support. Develop and facilitate ongoing collaborative activities that help transform
current educational practices in the college by working with innovative national consultants.
2010-present:

Chair Master’s comprehensive exams and theses for students in the area of mild/moderate
disabilities and educational therapy. Develop, coordinate and teach SPED 420, a new course on

2005-2010:

Chair Master's comprehensive exams and theses for students in the area of mild/moderate
disabilities and educational therapy. Co-taught courses for secondary, elementary, and special
education teachers in the Accelerated Collaborative Teaching (ACT) program. Teach, co-teach,
and mentor new part-time faculty in the graduate courses. Chaired the Mild/ Moderate
Specialization committee. Serve as Graduate Coordinator for all Special Education programs
(Early Childhood, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Moderate-Severe, Mild-Moderate, Educational Therapy)
and chair graduate committee. Chaired creation of the new graduate MA program with the
graduate committee. Promoted to Associate Professor (2005) and received tenure (2006).
