FORMS OF NOTICE AND DIRECTIONS FOR DEALING WITH
TOMBSTONES, MONUMENTS AND MEMORIALS
These forms should be amended as appropriate to deal with particular circumstances
(e.g. where only tombstones etc are removed and human remains are to be left
undisturbed)

Application to the Ministry of Justice for a 'Dispensing' Order under
Section 78(3).
Forms of Bishop's directions
Form of Bishop's directions where tombstones, monuments or memorials
commemorating deceased persons buried in or beneath the property are to
remain in place (and the human remains are not to be disturbed).

Form of Bishop's directions where tombstones, monuments or memorials
commemorating deceased persons buried within the property are to be
removed.

Form of Bishop's directions for the disposal of monuments and memorials
commemorating deceased persons not buried in the church or churchyard.
Notices where tombstones, monuments and memorials (and human remains) are to
remain in place

‘Short’ newspaper notice where tombstones, monuments or memorials
commemorating deceased persons buried within the property are to remain
in place.
