Dear Principal, Business Manager and School Based Teacher,
Re – Tickets for Bandstravaganza – Monday Night November 16
As there are only 960 seats in the stalls for parents at the ANU School of Music we need to make sure each
performing student has the opportunity to purchase tickets for their families before general release
(otherwise they may not come!). We are required to use Ticketek as the ticketing agency. The IMP will pick
up the transaction fee for all schools in this pre-sale round of ticketing.
1 – Commencing September Week 10
Schools to offer to each music student tickets for purchase by the school as a group (only parents/carers etc
need tickets – performers do not need to have a ticket!) Tickets cost $13.50 per ticket – this is a flat rate for
all seats. There is no limit on ticket numbers for MONDAY ONLY at this stage. Please use any information
in these papers for parent notes - if you wish please adapt and use your letterhead.
This process to be completed by Wednesday October 28 and forwarded by you to Ticketek as tickets
go on sale to the general public from Monday November 2. Do not send your order to IMP. Ticketek will
accept personal delivery, by mail or email/phone and cheque or credit card payment. You also need to
arrange for the collection/mail out of your tickets to your school. Contact details for Ticketek staff who is
handling Bandstravaganza below. IMP will cover transaction fees at this initial stage only for schools. I have
enclosed a ticket order form for this process.
2 - Remaining seats to go on sale via Ticketek from Monday November 2 (if any). Note transaction fees
apply. Ticket agencies and contact details listed below.
3 –Parent/Carers – additional Tickets
Seats will only be sold for the stalls area to the general public. The seats are not numbered/allocated so any
tickets, no matter when/where purchased, can be seated together. Some seating will be allocated for use by
student performers and 1 supervising teacher per group – no printed tickets required for this area. Staff will
be issued with a pass from IMP and students will be there with their teachers for the remainder of the
concert.
If Principals or other school staff (beyond the 1 music teacher from your school) wish to attend they
will need to purchase tickets for $13.50 in the stalls.
Parents do not need to buy a ticket for their child who is performing.

in the gallery before the performance starts to watch some items before heading
backstage.
