Missouri History: A Living Museum
Requirements:
A well researched report about your famous Missourian
A well put together and rehearsed presentation “In Character” at our living museum.
Research Report: DUE: Wednesday May 6, 2009
This report is researched and completed at home
Directions: Create a well written, multi-paragraph report about your famous Missourian.
Include the following information in your report:
Where and when your famous Missourian was born
Where he/she lived
Tell about their early years, before they became famous
Tell about their family life, what was it like
Several major contributions that made them famous
Several facts about his/her life
***Bonus-Find a photo
Use the attached checklist to make sure you have included all your information.
Make sure to use at least 2 sources of information to create your report.

Gather props, including a costume
Practice your part
Practice speaking clearly and distinctly
Practice appropriate body language and eye contact
Remember to stay in character for visitors
Set up your area on museum day
We will create note cards to use during our museum in class. Costumes, props, and practice need to be taken care of at home.

**Remember, we will create note cards in class to use for your Living Museum presentation. You will want to remember to bring your notes from researching your report to class to help you out. We will not be researching in class.**
Your child will be graded on his/her written report and his/her presentation. A rubric for each is attached. The living Museum will take place on Monday, May 11 th
