The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and the schedule will be at the direction of the Fire Chief to allow for special training sessions as well as weekly drills for the volunteer division. Requirements for the position include the following certification: WV Public Service fire service and EMT instructor, American Heart Health Care Provider CPR instructor or Red Cross equivalent, NFPA Instructor II and current WV EMT-B. Applicant must be a resident of the City of Weirton or reside in any WV location currently served by the 723, 748, 797, 794, 564, and 527 telephone exchanges, with the exception of any area serviced by these telephone exchanges that is a municipal corporation other than the City of Weirton, or willing to relocate to the City within 60 days and maintain residency. Applicant must also pass a physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening. Salary for the position is $22,000 - $25,000.
