****SPECIAL ALERT*****
Please forward this information to anyone you think would be
interested.
Our City Council has taken some alarming actions that require our
attention.
1. Firing Judge James Kimmel - Judge Kimmel has been serving
Littleton for nearly 30 years, is renown for his genuine concern
for youth and has received positive reviews in every survey the
city has conducted regarding his performance. Because of the
dramatic shift in public safety that Judge Kimmel’s removal may
cause, the Police Union held an emergency meeting last week.
It is anticipated that the Police Union will be well represented at
the hearing, raising issues about the legality of the Council’s
actions. Contact your council, copied above, and ask for an
explanation for the Council’s action. Or better yet, attend the
meeting this Tuesday.
2. Refusal to consider Sterling Ranch impacts – Calling the
project “a stupid deal”, Mayor Clark gaveled the March 23rd City
Council meeting closed without allowing a free, independent
study of the development’s impacts on Littleton. Ignoring the
impacts of this (or any other) major development to our city is a
neglect of the Council’s fiduciary responsibility. Contact the
City Council, copied above, and urge members to carefully
consider the impacts of this development on our city. For more
information about Sterling Ranch, and to go on a tour, contact
info@sterlingranchcolorado.com.
Thank you for your time, attention and concern for our city.
