Alix Jauffret Passeriphane 2, parc des Jardies 92310 SEVRES FRANCE Sèvres, 8 February 2011 First of all, I must tell how thrilled I am to come and share with you this very special day! I feel very thankful and honored to be invited for judging at the Jubilee Show. As a breeder and exhibitor myself, I had the opportunity to meet some German Cavalier breeders in the past, and I know the high quality of their dogs... So I must say that I expect a lot of this show and feel really excited thinking about the dogs I will see. I was asked to tell a few words about myself: I am a dog lover, as far as I can remember, I always shared my life with dogs...As a child my soul mate was an English Cocker Spaniel. I am an old breeder and a young judge: I have been breeding Cavaliers for 18 years, under affix Passeriphane, and made 18 Champions de France; I love four colors but my favorite are wholecolors. Three years ago it seemed to me that becoming an FCI judge would be a good way to stay in the dog's world and keep an eye on the breed as well. Last year I was lucky enough to judge eight times in France (≈ 500 Cavaliers and Charlies) which is a lot for a first year, and I proud myself this year to judge at the French Club Show, and to judge in Estonia and Belgium as well. And, last but not least, I have been married to Patrice for 42 years, I am mother of 7, and grandmother of 10. Looking forward to meeting you all next July. Alix
