FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 23, 2014 Contact: Andrea Mestdagh The Firm Public Relations & Marketing 702.739.9933 CAESARS AND CLEAN THE WORLD DELIVER HYGIENE PRODUCTS TO AID YOUTH IN THE PHILIPPINES LAS VEGAS – Partners in the Global Hygiene Revolution since 2010, employees from Caesars Entertainment Corporation properties across the country recently packed their bags and boarded a plane to the Philippines as part of a joint a trip with Children International and The Clean the World Foundation, Inc. to deliver thousands of hygiene products and health education tips to schools and student activity centers throughout Manila. Late last year, Caesars Entertainment and Clean the World began collaborating to provide a hands-on opportunity for the corporation’s employees to see first hand the difference a bar of soap makes. Hundreds of employees including housekeepers, dealers, front desk attendants and more submitted applications citing reasons they wanted to participate and the pride they felt in doing their small part to further Clean the World’s mission to save lives by providing recycled hotel soap and hygiene education to those in need. Clean the World has aggressively worked to decrease acute respiratory infection and diarrheal disease related deaths that result from lack of soap and health education in impoverished communities around the world. To date, approximately 200,000 pounds of soap have been delivered to the Philippines and nearly 10 million bars of soap have been distributed globally. “As we continue to support Clean the World, we are excited to be able to expand our impact by sending our employees to aid an area of need,” said Thom Reilly, Executive Director of Caesars Foundation. “During the distribution trip, employees will distribute soap and other hygiene products, and offer demonstrations on proper hand washing techniques to aid in the prevention of hygienerelated illnesses.” The Caesars Foundation and Caesars Entertainment have a long standing history of supporting Clean the World, donating more than $550,000 in grants and in kind services to launch and operate the Las Vegas Recycling Operations Center for the western United States. All of Caesars Entertainment’s United States are major contributors to Clean the World, donating more than 300 tons of soap and bottled amenities.
