Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic event. This cyclin forms a complex with and functions as a regulatory subunit of CDK2. This cyclin has been shown to specifically interact with CIP/KIP family of CDK inhibitors, and plays a role in cell cycle G1/S transition. The expression of it’s gene peaks at the G1-S phase and exhibits a pattern of tissue specificity distinct from that of cyclin E1. A significantly increased expression level of this gene was observed in tumorderived cells. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants, which encode distinct isoforms, have been reported. Recommended Control: Testing antigen control, Pooled pre-immune background control. Related Reagents: 1. Goat anti-IgY Fc polyclonal antibodies 2. Rabbit anti-IgY polyclonal antibodies 3. Mouse anti-IgY Fc monoclonal antibody Background References: Gudas, J. M.; Payton, M.; Thukral, S.; Chen, E.; Bass, M.; Robinson, M. Western Blot Test: E coli-derived fusion protein as test antigen. Affinitypurified IgY dilution: 1:2000, Goat anti-IgY-HRP dilution: 1:1000. Colorimetric method for signal development. Protein GI Number: 17318567 Protein Accession Number: NP_004693.2 Immunogen Information: aa 1-296 Species Reactivity: Human, mouse, rat. Produced From: Chicken Buffer: Phosphate-Buffered Saline Storage Instruction: 4ºC for short term (weeks) and -20ºC for long term. Avoid frequent freeze/thaw. Important Note: During shipment, small volumes of product will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200 µL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap. Recommended Application: Western blotting, tissue or cell immunostaining. Recommended starting dilution for Western blot analysis is 1:500, for tissue or cell staining is 1:200. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user. __________________________________________________________________________________ For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
