An indicative, non-exhaustive, list includes the following: - Technical specifications for the Athens Metro (ΑΤΤΙΚΟ ΜΕΤRΟ S.A. ) - Mechanical seals (Hellenic Refineries) - National Cadastre Geographical Information System (Marathon Data Systems) - The National Cadastre of Cyprus (Marathon Data Systems) - Transborder collaboration agreements (INTERREG) - Glivec (NOVARTIS) - Gleevec (NOVARTIS) - Global Water Partnership - Egnatia Highway Technical Specifications (EGNATIA ODOS S.A.) - Equal Opportunities in Education (EMAKUNDE) - Technical Specifications for the New Athens Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” (HOCHTIEF) - Mentoring Manual (Entre Project, RECITE II European Union Program) - Air-conditioning system manuals (CARRIER) - URENIO - Urban Landscape Uses for Barcelona (AUTONOMOUS REGION OF CATALUÑA) - Wine Feature (EFCHARIS VINYARDS) - Olympic Village construction specifications - Change magazine – AIDS (Centre of Inspirational Living) - Turbulent flow systems for dropwise irrigation (EURODRIP S.A.) During the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, I worked as one of a six-member committee of English editors at the Main Press Centre Olympic News Service. My duties included editing every single English document published on INFO2004 (the official Olympic News Service information system) to be made available to millions of journalists of all media throughout the world, collaborate with and co-ordinate a team of 38 in-house translators into the Greek and French languages, and crosscheck and edit – if and when necessary – the corresponding Greek translations. I also served as top management interpreter during the meetings and press conferences held by General, Media and Venue Managers. Working as a conference interpreter for the past 14 years, with more than 150 working days per year, it is virtually impossible to list the titles and topics of all these conferences. Nevertheless, if so required, I could produce a list of the conferences in which I offered my interpreting services in the past 3 years, including the meetings of various committees, subcommittees and institutions of the European Union organs on SMEs, structural funds, the European Schools, etc. From 2002 throughout the period leading up to the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, I work as one of the official interpreters of the Olympic Games Security Committee; during the war in Iraq I was one of the interpreters for the National Greek Television (NET), Star Channel and ANTENNA TV, and on May 28, 2003 I served as the US Ambassador’s interpreter on the National Greek Television show “The seventh day” (i evdomi mera) during his interview with journalist Mr. Nikos Hassapopoulos. I have also worked for the Canadian and UK Embassies in Athens, as well as several Greek ministries (Ministry of Economics and National Economy, Ministry of Urban Planning, Public Works and the Environment, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Public Health and Social Solidarity, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Public Order, etc.). Interpreting language combinations: English – Greek – English, Spanish – Greek – Spanish, English – Spanish – English. Translation language combinations: English – Greek – English, Spanish – Greek – Spanish, English – Spanish – English, French – Greek, French – English, French – Spanish, German – Greek, German – English, Italian – Greek, Italian – English, Portuguese – English, Dutch – English.
