The purpose of this course is to familiarize participants with the latest advances in laser, Light sources and other
devices and appropriate techniques for their use in patient care.
Course Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:






Identify advances in devices and techniques
Select appropriate devices and indications to recommend to patients
Incorporate new techniques and regimens to add predictability and safety to procedures
Discern and describe the differences, risks and benefits of various laser and device options
Identify and address peri-procedure assessment and possible complications
Demonstrate increased awareness of emerging and future technologies

The ASDS acknowledges the need for CME content to be designed within the context of desirable physician
attributes as expressed by the ACGME/ABMS Core Competencies and the Dermatology Residency Committee.
Aligned with Criterion # 6 of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s Provider Requirements for
CME, the ASDS has developed the content of this educational activity to address the ACGME/ABMS Core
