Minutes of Briefing Session held for Training Providers on the 3rd December 2007 at Bytes Conference Centre in Midrand, Gauteng. Facilitator : In attendance: Richard Mokgata – Executive Manager: SMME (W&RSETA) Paul Mmakola – Project Coordinator (W&RSETA) Noluyolo Noganta – Project Manager (Tutuka) Project Introduction 1. Pilot project to support 500 SMEs through training vouchers. 2. Each Company will qualify for vouchers worth R5000 3. The companies can structure the R5000 in any way that they like. (ie. One R5000 voucher for 1 employee or 5 X R1000 vouchers for 5 employees) 4. Where the training exceeds the value of the voucher, the difference will be for the company’s account. 5. The voucher is presented to the Training Provider who then authorizes it with the W&RSETA before commencing with the training. 6. The voucher is finally redeemed for payment at the W&RSETA once the training is completed. 7. Process is elaborated in attached flowchart. Training Provider Invitation 1. Training providers are invited to logon to http://www.wrsetavoucher.org.za in order to register as training providers. 2. The guidelines for registration are on the website 3. There are a number of requirements to be met in order to qualify 4. Proof of accreditation a. Tax clearance b. Signed Code of Conduct c. Signed MoU d. Complete list of courses to be loaded 5. Process flowchart attached 6. Website will be opened on 3rd December 2007 7. Providers can visit website after that. 8. Detailed directions for application are available on the website.
