Book Report 2:
DUE DATE: February 1st
Remember: You are responsible for reading a book that you haven’t read before,
preparing a book report and presenting your book report to the class.
In addition to the last 3 options (Diorama, Mobile, Pop-up book), here are some more to
choose from…:
A. Video
a) Make a video acting out your favorite part of the book. It should be 3 – 5 minutes long.
b) Characters in the video should be in costume.
c) The video should include sound effects and/or music.
d) You should add credits about the people who helped you out.
e) Write a summary of your scene on a separate paper to go along with your video.
B. PPT/Prezi/Glogster Presentation
a) Prepare a presentation to include at least 10 sections. They should be colourful, interesting and
clear. They should include the following:
Information about the author
Title of book
Main characters
Setting
Beginning Plot
Middle Plot
End Plot
Your reaction to the book
Pictures (x2)
b) Present your presentation (3-5 minutes).
c) Print off a copy of the slides for your teacher to read (you can do this with 6 slides to a page (ask if
you don’t know how to do this!)
C. Costume Book Report
a) Prepare a costume of the main character in your book.
b) Type/write a descriptive (remember – physical and mental) paragraph about the character and attach
it somehow to the costume (it could be an accessory/bag/name tag etc.)
c) Talk in first person about yourself (including the description) and about what happens to you in the
book. The oral presentation should last 3 – 5 minutes.
Assessment…
Each report and presentation will be assessed by the teacher and 2 class members. Look
out for the following…
