Message from Fr McManus: My family and I are very grateful for the prayers and
support that we received from the people of the parish since the passing of my
father. Thanks to all who came to the Funeral, the Removal of the Remains, who
visited the Wake-house and those who sent cards and messages of sympathy and
support. All of these are a great source of consolation.
Weekly Adoration in the Parish Centre is suspended until September.
The Rosary is said in the Church every evening; Sunday- Friday 6-30pm,
Saturday 5-15pm. Everyone is most welcome.
Congregational Singing: Please join in the singing of hymns at Sunday and Week
day Masses We are using the Redemptorist Mission and Novena booklet ‘Stay with
us Lord’. We will sing one verse at the beginning and another at the end of Mass.

Lough Derg 2015: Last day of the Three Day Pilgrimage is Thursday 13th August.

Mapping of Graveyards: Michael Durkin of Irish Graveyards.ie has completed the
first draft of the maps of the Parish Graveyards.
The Parish Hall: The Parish hall is currently being painted and the curtains are
being replaced.
Ederney-born priest Fr Jim Mulligan completed a fundraising wing walk on WW II
airplane on Saturday 25th July to raise funds for new seating in Church St Pauls RC
Church in Harefield where he is Parish Priest. Fr Jim flew balanced on top of a WWII
Boeing –Stearman biplane in a hair-raising sponsored flight to raise the necessary
£14,000. If you wish to make a sponsorship donation to the fundraising for the new

Parishioners will remember Fr Richard Ng’uta from the Kitui Diocese in
Kenya visiting this parish yearly for a number of years. Unfortunately his plans to
visit here this year did not work out. A small group, The 3As (Anawim Adonai Africa,
a Cause for the Poor) has been established to give financial aid to Fr Richard. Fund
raising plans are being considered and the group would welcome the support of

ESJ: Our fund raising 100 mile cycle Ederney -Sligo return took place on Friday
& Saturday. Thank you to all our cyclists, Jersey sponsors, club volunteers,
