Invitation to the sixth Barents Conference on Psychiatry
“Integration of psychiatric care in the primary healthcare system.”
October 6-7, 2015
City of Arkhangelsk
The main purpose of the conference is to offer a meeting place for health professionals and
health policy makers from the Barents Region where experiences and knowledge mainly related
to psychiatry in primary care will be exchanged and discussed.






Main topics
organization of the psychiatric care with the consideration of the Barents area regional
peculiarities;
cooperation of primary and specialized level of public health service in rendering psychiatric
care;
interagency cooperation in the process of psychiatric care provision;
medical, social and preventive aspects of destructive behavior (aggression, suicides,
psychoactive substance dependence);
up-to-date aspects of diagnostics and treatment of psychiatric and addiction disorders;
staff training, results and perspectives of the regional and international scientific research
works in the sphere of mental health protection of the Barents region population.
Conference venue: Northern State Medical University (Arkhangelsk, 51 Troitski).
The conference will be held in Russian and English. The conference materials (abstracts)
will be published in a conference book which will be free of charge.
All the abstracts must be submitted before September 1, 2015, to the Unit for
International Affairs of “Arkhangelsk Centre for Medical Information and Statistics”. E-mail:

The abstracts (up to 2 pages) are to be presented in the file format – Microsoft Word
97/2000/XP, font «Times New Roman», font size 12, through 1 interval, A4, with standard
margins (top – 20 mm, bottom – 20 mm, left – 30mm, right – 10mm).
A copy of the detailed program and further information will be sent to the e-mail address
provided by you in your registration form.
