Gundaroo and District Historical Society Meeting

2. Matters Arising
Calendar Update – Cathy and Sue have started to identify photos and village walk
trail. The calendar will feature heritage walk trail buildings and could include a
map and separate printed guide. (see Tim’s suggestions and ideas)
Mosaic - Ron, Sue Peter and Tim met. We need to determine an accessioning
system. We plan to meet with the Qbyn Historical Society and look at their
system.
Caroline Milne has offered to be archiving officer. In order to formally recognize
this offer, Sue Burns nominated Caroline as archiving officer, seconded by Judy
Andrews.
3. Correspondence in - Nil
4. Reports
President - Nil
Treasurer - $126 from cards to be banked. Final transfer of banking admin,
signatures etc from Peter to Allen to be finalized.
Marketing and Communication - Tim provided an extensive report he had
prepared for the AGM. The report was tabled. Major achievements included the
development of the website. Further work is being done on the Visitor guide and
heritage trail.
We need to think about an event for next year. The Heritage theme for 2016 is
‘Discovery and Rediscovery’
Membership – Allen had a handover with Eleanor re the membership files. We
will look into updating email list so it is consistent with current financial
members.
Matters for Discussion
Gundaroo Hall Anniversary - The hall is 125 this year. The hall committee is
planning a ‘pot luck dinner’ and open day on 31 October. It was suggested we
could hold a small display and offer membership to interested parties.
Visitor guide/Heritage trail. Tim has developed a draft guide. We need to finalise
this to enable printing and how it will link to the calendar.
