With over 2 million people affected by diabetes in the UK and the prevalence continuing to rise,
giving consistent, yet personalised dietary advice is essential in helping to minimize the risk of short
and long term complications.
QOF indicator DM13 – Patients with Diabetes receive a dietary review by a suitably competent
professional.
This study day will enable delegates to gain knowledge and understanding related to the majority of
the QOF competencies (there may be some competencies relating to physical activity, glucose
metabolism and complications in older people which are not fully covered). Attending our study day
does not in itself demonstrate competency. Individuals should consider what further measures they
take to give assurance of competency.
