Easy Summertime Classes
Dear Sharon,
Sometimes you just have to zone out. So why not join us for a little
summertime glass meditation! (Sure wish I was flexible enough to
create this pose.)
Glass on Glass Mosaic $95
During this class you will make a 10" x
12" glass on glass mosaic project.
Choose from our patterns or design your
own. This project teaches the direct
method of mosaics. Most materials are
provided including the frame. Cutting
skills are recommended but not required.
This project cannot be finished in a few
hours, so there will be homework! *We
will schedule the grouting sessions
during class!

Fused Coral Bowl $70 plus glass
Using glass pieces, you will create a "bowl
shaped" art piece that represents coral.
The open spaces are what gives this project
it's charm. Tremendously tropical . For
experienced fusers only with some cutting
experience.
Tues June 5th, 6:00 pm
Glass cutting 101 $45
During this skills class you will learn the
basics of glass cutting including tools,
safety, pattern cutting, and grinding.
Whether you are doing stained glass or
plan on fusing, classes are geared towards
the needs of the students. By the end, you
will have cut straight pieces, circles, and
everything in between. You will have use of our tools during class. No
experience necessary.

Glass Pendants $95
Introduction to Fusing
This is one our most popular beginning
classes! It is a professional introduction to
fusing. Class sizes range from 3-6 students
and all the instruction and materials are
included! First, we cover glass fusion theory
(very important to building a base of knowledge). Then, you will create 10
glass cabochons that you will make into pendants. Other topics of
discussion include: firing theory, assembly, and proper bail attachment.
Prism will fire your pieces and they will be available for pick up a few days
later. Basic bails are included. No experience required. Glass Cutting 101
is recommended, but not required. (Arrangement for larger groups of 10
is available). This is the first step in your fusing experience.

The next step to your fusing addiction: this
open studio time is for individuals who
desire to make fused pendants after they
have taken our introductory class - Fused
Glass Pendants. Come and join your fellow
fusers for community and fun. It's also a
great place to fuel your creativity - even if you do have a home studio.
System 96 precut squares, rectangles, and scrap will be provided, as well
as, noodles, stringers, and confetti. We ask that fusers make a minimum
of 8 pieces. Bails and dichroic are available for purchase. Although this is
not a formal class with lecture, we require a $25 deposit to secure your
space. Cutting skills are not required, but without them your options will
be more limited. If you would like to learn to cut class, consider taking
Glass Cutting 101.

Fused Fritted Tile $65
During this two-part class you will use frit
and glass to create a beautifully artistic
tile. Use a design of your choice or choose
from the designs available. Pieces will
then be fired at Prism. During the first
class we will schedule a time for you to
come in to add additional details using glass paint. If you finish the class
early, feel free to create another tile for only $25. This class is great for
anyone who is seeking to learn more fusing skills and techniques. These
skills could be used on a larger scale to create plates, etc. Glass cutting
skills are required.
Tues, June 19th 6:00pm
Fusing with Mud, $140, includes Mud Kit and lunch!
Using this very Unique texture medium, you will create fun and
dynamic images in glass. This Mud technique allows you to create
sculptural effects on glass, terra cotta, etc, with just a few simple
brushstrokes. You will learn how to sculpt with a brush and create
two 4" fused masterpieces. See the samples in the store. Pictures
just don't do it justice. You can do this, I promise!

Understanding Your Kiln $45
This seminar is great for anyone who owns or
plans on owning a kiln. We will discuss
ordering, setup, testing and running your kiln.
There will be special emphasis on programming,
care, and shelf materials. There will be a Q & A
session to help with individual needs. It's a great
learning experience for all you "firing newbie's", or
a great refresher for current kiln owners. Session
lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Reservations required.

Faux Woven Basket, $70 + glass
This 11" square basket would look great on
any table and is fairly easy to build. You
just need to select two complimentary
colors, cut your strips, and assemble.
(Instruction and 2 firings included.) The
spaces in between are empty and create a
basketweave effect. Cutting skills required.
Sat, June 30th @ 1:00
Panel lamp class, $95 + glass
Creating this square desk lamp will not only
teach you the process, but you also get to walk
away with a stunning lamp for your home.
There will be some homework and students are
required to buy their own materials. Lamp base
not included.

Mosaic Style Fused 8" Dish
The initial offering is scheduled for the first time on July 12th @
6:00. Create a mid-size 8" dish. Use frit and powder to create the
"grout" lines. Expand your glass horizons with this technique that is
perfect for the puzzle enthusiast.
Some of you have already signed up. Make sure you get in and call
today!
$75 includes clear base, white or black border, and scrap glass to
create your design. (Special colors available for purchase) Both
firings are also included.
