Biome – “a major ecological community: a division of the world's vegetation that
corresponds to a defined climate and is characterized by specific types of plants
and animals, e.g. tropical rain forest or desert.”

In PowerPoint, make an eight slide show of a Food Pyramid for the ecosystem
assigned to your group
Slide One: Title slide : Your biome, your names, the date, your period
Slide Two: Introduction to your assigned ecosystem (Arctic, Desert, Tropical
Rainforest,
Taiga, Grassland, Temperate Forest, Ocean, Wetland)
 What is your ecosystem like?: (elevation, temperature, precipitation,
etc.)
 One to two pictures!
Slide Three: draw a better version of this pyramid, and show/label somehow
that each level gets energy from the one before it.
Slides 4 through 8 will each be one level of the pyramid, starting at the
bottom,
What do you think is the important information to put on them?
What will you title each slide?
Should you have any pictures at each level? (yes)
Hint: Be sure each trophic level slide includes:
How energy is flowing (where their energy comes from, where it
goes next);
Type of energy used;
Trophic levels;
At least three examples of organisms from each trophic level
(except for the sun, of course!)
