partner with our students in the battle against blood cancers. We are participating in a community
service project called Pennies for Patients®, and we would like to request a donation of [product, gift

Pennies for Patients is a national program where students bring spare change to school to benefit The
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Last year alone, $790,000 was collected from schools throughout
Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, and $28 million was raised nationally. Pennies for
Patients helps to create public awareness for blood cancers and more importantly, raises funds for
patient aid programs and local blood cancer research at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic.
This year, students will collect spare change in honor of student survivors found at
www.schoolandyouth.org/mn/heroes.
