Operation Manual
1. Introduction
Laser range and speed detector monocular is a portable optics-electro device combined
the function of both monocular and laser range and speed detector. Its function includes:
a. Measure the distance of stationary and slow moving object within certain range while
at the same time can observe the object with great clearness,and The result can be stored. It
has many advantages such as high accuracy, short measuring time, low power consumption
and automatic shutdown for power protection etc.
b. Measure the speed of fast moving object while at the same time can observe the
object with great clearness. The result can be stored.
The transmission power of this device is very small and is safe for human’s eye. It
doesn’t need any support target and can be used directly for any target. It has very small
size and light weight and can be easily carried. The device uses 9v battery which can be
bought and exchanged with great convenient. If “OVER 100M” mode is used while
measuring the target over 100M, the influence of small objects like electronic wire and tree
branches within short distance(less than 100m) can be eliminated.
Laser range and speed detector monocular can be widely used for travel and sightseeing
like watching sport, golf, hunting, camping, hiking etc. It can be a very good assistant to
improve our outdoor life quality.

1) Pictures 1~3 are mode selection display for Laser range and speed detector
a) Pictures 1: Range > 100M mode, for long range target
b) Pictures 2: Range >20M mode, for short range target
c) Pictures 3: Speed detector mode, When the mode in use, Speed detector is need
all along aimed a moving target up to has measured the speed of target . The
mode use that is : A target necessarily moves in a range between 50m to 500m,
The direction of measured speed of target in line with the direction of a moving
target as best one can is consistent,or else will influence correct of measure speed.

2) Pictures 4~6 are three different reticule indicator used for aiming the target.
When the LCD is on, short press the “Mode” button you can select the above 6
mode in turn.
5、Laser range and speed detector monocular internal display explain:
1) “Ready”— range finder or speed detector is ready ,
“Range”— range finder mode,
“Speed”— speed detector mode。
When “ACTION”button is pressed for 2 second, “Ready” are lighted, the system is
activated. if “Range” are lighted, rangefinder is functioning. if “Speed” are lighted, speed
detector is functioning.
2) “———”—aiming indicator(in figure 2, 4~6 are all aiming indicator,User can choose
anyone of them )
, It is used for aiming center of the target.
”—distance display has 4 figures. If measurement is unsuccessful then four

“Y”— Length measure unit,
“M”stands for meter,“Y” stands for yard. During the distance
measurement period, you can change the measurement unit just by long pressing “MODE” button. You
can switch between “M” and “Y”

5)“KM/H” ,
“M/S”—speed indicator,
“KM/H” stands for kilometer per hour,
“M/S” stands
for meter per second. During the speed measurement period, you can change the measure unit just by long
pressing “MODE” button. You can switch between “KM/H” and“M/S”
。If measurement is unsuccessful
then four dashes
“----” appears。
6)“Over 100M ” —distance gating indicator ,it need to be chosen according to weather or landscape。
When “OVER 100M” is displayed,the distance measured is larger than 100M. It is recommended to use
this mode when there is a small object in closer distance than the target or in rain or fog weather. And this
mode used for measure of
larger distance.
7)“QUALITY>>>>>>”—distance quality indicator. The more number of “>”stands for stronger
reflection. In general, three “>” can be used for range finder. If only two “>”
, it means weaker
reflection and can not be used for measuring distance。

6. Laser range and speed detector monocular opration instruction
First turn the diopter of eyepiece until the target image is clear.
6.1 How to operate Laser rangefinder
a) Start
Press “ACTION” for 2 second, rangefinder will start. The screen will display the chosen
mode of the last time. Press “Mode” button, the screen will show picture 1, picture 2 and
picture 3 of Fig.2, You can choose different mode according to his need.
b)Select picture 1: stands for choosing >100M mode. This is used for long distance target.
When picture “1” is selected, press “ACTION” button. “OVER 100M ” and “Range” will
be flash on the top of the screen. Use the aiming center point to the target center then
press “ACTION” to start. The distance data will be displayed on the bottom of the screen
immediately. If nothing is shown up after 4 s, it means target reflection is too weak. The
display will show “- - - -”. This device will keep the data measured during the last time until
it is updated by the current measurement. Long press MODE button to switch between
“M” (meter) and “Y” (yard) and will be show the data measured of the last time. If this
device has detected that the idle time is longer than 30s it will automatic shut down to save
power.
c) Select picture 2: Stands for choosing >20m Mode. This is used for short distance
target. When figure “2” is selected, press “ACTION” button. “Range” will be flash on the
top of the screen. Use the aiming center point to the target center then press “ACTION” to
start. The distance data will be displayed on the bottom of the screen immediately.

6.2 “How to operate Laser speed detector
When picture “3” is selected, “Speed” will be flash on the top of the screen. Use the
aiming center to point to the target center. Press “ACTION” to start to measure the target
speed. When is measuring the target speed. “
”— laser transmission indicator will be
flash. Afterward, The marker“>”of on the bottom of the screen will be circle moves. Finally,
the target speed data will be displayed on the bottom of the screen.
There are two way to measure the speed.
a) Forward speed measurement:
When target moves toward, user should point this device to the center of the
target. For example if the target is a car, User should point this device toward to the
car’s front plates then press “ACTION” button and use the aiming indicator center to
track the moving target. The speed data should be displayed after 3 seconds. If the
speed data doesn’t come out, it means the target reflection is too weak and the speed
detect failed. The Display should show “- - - -”
。
b) Backward speed measurement:
When the target moves backward, user should point this device to the center of the
target’s back. For example if the target is a car, User should point this device toward to the
car’s back plates then press “ACTION” button and use the aiming indicator center to track
the moving target. The speed data should be displayed after 3 seconds. If the speed data
doesn’t come out, it means the target reflection is too weak and the speed detect failed. The
Display should show “- - - -”.

Please keep the minimum angle during the speed detect period (under the premises of
safety) to minimize the error of speed detect
Long press the “MODE” button to switch the speed measure unit between“KM/H” and
“M/S”in mode of the speed measure.When the speed measure unit is“M/S”, left two digits
of four number are whole number of the speed data. Third digit is radix point, the display
should show“- ”. Fourth digit is decimal. For example, 12.8m/s should show 12-8M/S.
6.3 Aiming reticule indicator selection
User can choose one of the three pictures 4、5、6 in Fig.2 according to the character of
the target.
After start the display, press “MODE” button. The screen will display the pictures 4、5、
6 in Fig. 2 in turn. When you choose one of the three symbols then immediately presses
“ACTION” button, the chosen symbol will not flash anymore.
6.4 Mode of spring
When presses “ACTION” button, laser can't emit. After disentangle “ACTION” button,
measurements of range and speed begin. The advantage of this spring should easily point
this device to the center of the target. Notice! when presses “ACTION” button exceed 2
seconds, the device should shift to function of Long presses “ACTION” button. Therefore,
presses “ACTION” button can't exceed 2 seconds(except that the device start).
7. Problem and Troubleshooting
Laser rangefinder and speed detector monocular is a complex optics-electronics product.
Except some general problems caused by improper operation, they should be sent to
professional repair shop to do the repairing works. The general problems can be the
following:
1)“MODE” selection can not be done:
a) “ACTION” button was not pressed in time while one of the picture is flashing
b) No enough power, power supply voltage is too low
2) No distance or speed data is displayed
a) You choose “OVER 100M” mode for the target within 100M.
For measuring long distance target’s distance or speed, the reflection signal is too weak.
b) Fingers block either laser transmission lens or receive lens while operating.
c) Hand shakes too much during the operation and aiming center is not pointed to the
target.
d) No enough power and batter need to be changed as soon as possible.
3) Display result keeps changing during measuring distance or speed.
a) No enough power and battery need to be changed as soon as possible.
b) User point the binocular to the Sun or strong light during the measurement.

8. Stored and recall function
The results of last 10 measurements will be saved automatically. Long presses
“ACTION” button for 2 seconds, The Display should show “code” . Here can recall the
results of last 10 measurements. First display should show the sequence number(1~10) of
the results of last 10 measurements. Then will be show the data etc. with the results of last 10
measurements. Upon pressing the “ACTION” button, the display will sequentially show the
results of last 10 measurements, starting from latest one. Upon pressing the “MODE” button,
it will be exit.
9 Important notices for users
9.1 The distance of this laser rangefinder and speed detector monocular can be used for
measuring is depending on the character of the target and inclination angle between the
transmission laser and surface of the target. In general, the user can measure longer distance
if the surface of the target is smoother, lighter, and larger or the laser is perpendicular to
surface, vice versa.
9.2 When “” ( (Low power indicator) is displayed. Battery should be exchanged otherwise
it will cause increasing deviation. If not to use this device for long time, it’s better to take out
the battery from battery house.
9.3 During the operation time don’t touch the surface of the lens to avoid damage to the films
of the lens.

This laser rangefinder and speed detector monocular has been carefully aligned
using high precise equipment. Please don’t disassemble it without permit.
9.5 When the exposed glass lens is stained, please wipe it using the wiper. Don’t use other
thing to clean the lens to avoid damage to the film of the lens.
9.6 Avoid collision or high pressure during carrying or operation. Take it far away from
the place where it can get baked or corrosion.
9.7 Don’t store it at damp place. It should be stored at dry, cool and open place and avoid
Sun exposure, temperature extremes and keep it from dust.
9.8 If this laser rangefinder and speed detector monocular is damaged, it should be sent to
professional repair shop to do the repairing works. Please don’t disassemble it by yourself.
