The responsibilities will include: Support duties including: diet preparation, hygiene maintenance and water quality tests. Contribute to successful training and presentation of animals Contribute to maintain effective animal care and well-being of animals Participate in professional quality shows and presentations. Requirements for the position are: Matric or equivalent. Level two ‘Sea World’ certification or equivalent (education or experience) Able to work in a team environment. An interest in marine mammals. Affinity with animals Sound communication skills in English. Eloquent and able to present in front of a large audience. Pass a swim test. Physically fit and healthy. Good attitude to physical work. Be a team player. Support and endorse the conservation objectives of SAAMBR. The following would stand applicants in good stead: Proven dedication in the field of animal care Relevant tertiary education Any relevant education or experience in the field of animal care.
