near the object and firing position, which ensures shelter from the fire and observations of
enemy.
1. to apply to the plastic two points of tying to the map, basic and alternate routes with the
pointers, which indicate direction of motion, is not less than three control points, indicated in
the tactical problem, assembly point near the object and firing position.
2. to prepare the card of motion. It must include the rectangular coordinates of control points,
the magnetic azimuth, distances, ordinal numbers of control points, assembly point near the
object and firing position.
3. preparation time of plastic and card of motion - 30 minutes.

estimated method (~15%), binoculars (~10%) or optical sight (~5%).
TASK 4: Target reconnaissance.
CONDITION: Dana: terrain sector the 10th by different objects of military nature, binoculars,
telescope and the card of the calculation of results.
REQUIREMENT: To reveal, to apply to the diagram and to describe 7 of 10 objects during
40 minutes.
TASK 5: Fulfillment of exercise by reserved taking a position.

CONDITIONS: Dana: sniper rifle, suit “[leshiy]”, two blank cartridges and the suitable
terrain sector, which makes it possible to observe at the depth not less than 1000 meters.
REQUIREMENT: For 4 hours to complete movement up to the distance 600 - 800 meters,
without being discovered, to engage position, to identify purpose and to produce on it two
shots. The instructors, armed by binoculars and telescope, appear as the purpose. Sniper must
collect from 7 to 10 marks (see table 2).

(with an accuracy to 250 meters) during 30 seconds.
TASK 4: Determination of the polar coordinates of target.
CONDITIONS: Dana the survey of the polar method of determining the target coordinates,
the map of target area, binoculars, compass and purpose.
REQUIREMENTS: You will determine and will report during 30 seconds the polar
coordinates of target with the accuracy not more than 250 meters from the true position. The

observation, detection and the selection of purposes.
TASK 5: Determination of the belonging of the models of the form of clothing, armament and
foreign of armies technique.
CONDITIONS: Dana the survey of the models of the form of clothing, armament and in the
form of cards or of slides technique.
REQUIREMENT: To determine 7 of 10 models of the form of clothing or insignias of rank, 7
of 10 objects of equipment or models of armament and 7 of 10 equipment models of foreign
armies.
TASK 6: Methods of determination of range to targets.
CONDITIONS: Dana the survey of the methods of determination of distance, utilized by
snipers.
REQUIREMENT: To give description, in writing or orally, the methods of determination of
distance.

REQUIREMENT: To prepare the card of the distances of sniper with those substituted in this
case:
1. by rectangular coordinates of position;
2. by orientators (azimuth for the orientator, the distance to it and the description);
3. by azimuths of the left and right boundaries of the sector of delivery of fire;
4. by distances of delivery of fire in this region;
5. by basic local objects;
6. by methods of determination of distances;
7. data about the weather.
TASK 8: Preparation of the diagram of the locality/of object.
CONDITIONS: Dana the survey of the order of compilation of diagram, the suitable terrain
sector or object and the clean form of diagram.
REQUIREMENT: To prepare diagram with those substituted in this case:
1. by rectangular coordinates of position;
2. by the magnetic azimuth, passing through the center of diagram;
3. by designation of diagram and by its number;
4. with scale of diagram;
5. by division of notes;
6. by name of compiler and by title;
7. by date and with the time of composition;
8. by data about the weather.
TASK 9: Maintenance of the logbook of observation.
CONDITIONS: Dana the survey of the order of filling of the observers log and 20 clean
forms, fastened into the periodical.
REQUIREMENT: It is necessary to conduct periodical during the subsequent three days,
writing in the chronological order all events and following data:
1. number of form and the total number of forms;
2. name, service rank and the subdivision of observer;
3. date and the time of observation and condition for observation;
4. rectangular coordinates of sniper position;
5. ordinal number, time and the rectangular coordinates of each event;
6. content of event;
7. undertaken actions and note.
