Come to the Guidance Office today to request an appointment. It is very important that you discuss your senior course selection, what college admission tests to take and plans for your future career. The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College invites one or two students from the junior and/or senior class to participate in their Chocolate Competition and/or their Culinary Competition. Winners will be awarded scholarships to The Restaurant School. Information is available in the Guidance Center. A summer internship is available for juniors and seniors. It is a 6-week paid opportunity working within various municipal departments and offices with the City of Philadelphia. Information is available in the Guidance Center. Villanova University's College of Nursing is hosting an Undergraduate Open House on Sunday, April 12, 2015. More information is available in the Guidance center. SENIORS If you have not brought your acceptance and scholarship letters and your financial aid information to the Guidance Center, please do so as soon as possible. Remember you receive a candy bar for each acceptance and scholarship letter you receive. An information session about the Maguire Scholarship of an annual $1,000 will be held at the Montgomery County Community College on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 7 PM - 8 PM . Student Council Speeches and Elections A reminder to all FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, and JUNIORS that speeches and elections for next year’s Student Council Senior Officers will take place this upcoming Monday, April 13th. We will be on a Bell 5 schedule (All students will report to homeroom at the appropriate time on the Bell 5 schedule. Only the Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will vote). Speeches will be broadcast over the TV during homeroom and will be followed by elections. We ask all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors to be respectful of the candidates during their speeches and throughout the election process. Further information will follow. DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY This Sunday April 12, 2015 is Divine Mercy Sunday. For this day Jesus makes the following requests & promises: 1)Go to Confession (On or preferably Before Sunday) 2)Go to Mass (On Divine Mercy Sunday or the night before) 3)Receive Holy Communion 4)And all of our sins and punishment (Hell/Purgatory) are completely wiped away. It is like being Baptized again. Our souls will be as pure as a newly baptized infant. Please spread the good news. TITLE ONE TUTORING TitleOne Tutoring- Title One Tutoring will be next Wednesday and Thursday morning at 7:15am in room 38. ATTENTION SENIORS A reminder to all Seniors that the Senior Prom will take place tomorrow at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. Please remember to adhere to all guidelines and policies found in the Senior Prom Information Sheet as well as those discussed and presented at the Senior Parent/Student Night. We will follow a Bell 1 schedule tomorrow. At the end of 5th period, classes will end for the day for Seniors. Seniors attending the prom are required to attend an assembly following 5th period. Those not attending the prom are dismissed after 5th period. Students who are absent from school on Friday or who do not attend the required meeting after the end of 5th period will not be permitted to attend the Senior prom. JUNIOR PROM Junior Prom tickets will be on sale in the Financial Affairs Office. Please bring prom permission forms to the Student Affairs Office for approval BEFORE going to the Financial Affairs Office to purchase your ticket. Once you have purchased your ticket you may see Mrs. Smith in Room 44 to sign up for a table. Only students who have purchased tickets may sign up for a table and you may not sign your friends up for your table - they must do it themselves!
