Flip-Book Project
To help you remember what we’ve learned about the 5 major world religions, you will be making a
flip-book. Each page of the flip-book will need to include all the following information for each of
the major world religions:








Name of the religion on the tab
Draw and Color Symbol(s) / important people/ gods of the religion
Tell where the religion originated (place/region/country)
Tell who founded (started) the religion
Tell the name of the Supreme Being or God in the religion
Tell where the followers worship / tell how the followers worship
Tell the name of the Religious book(s) / Religious writings for the religion
Tell the basic beliefs or ideas of the religion (a bare minimum of 3 for each)
Make sure to write out the information in complete sentences and paragraphs.
To make your flip-book, you will need 3 sheets of long white paper. Lay the papers flat on a desk
and spread them out so that each one is off-set by ½ to ¾ of an inch.
Then, fold the top half down to complete the flip-book leaving a ½ inch space again.
Finally, put 2 staples at the very top of the book to hold the book together.
Tab/Page 1 – Title
The very first page or top of the flipbook is the title page. Let’s use “World Religions Flip Book” as
the title. Color and decorate this page any way you like.
Tab/Page 2 – Hinduism
On the second page, put all of the required information for Hinduism. Below are some symbols for
Hinduism that you can draw and color onto your flip-book. Do NOT cut out and use these.

On the third page, put all of the required information for Buddhism. Below are some symbols for
Buddhism that you can draw and color in your flip-book. Do NOT cut out and use these.

Additional information / Hints: Remember, Buddhists do not have one supreme being. Also, the
ideas of the Buddha have been written down in many different books, so there is not really one
religious book for Buddhists so make sure to explain that.

On the forth page, put all of the required information for Judaism. Below are some symbols for
Judaism that you can draw and color in your flip-book. Do NOT cut out and use these.
