What:
Join the 3-Time National Champion Walled Lake Northern High School
Majorettes and the Marching Knights to show off your twirling skills on
the field and sidelines for the Northern Knights Varsity Football Game.
Open to skilled as well as new twirlers.
When:
Practice #1 Tuesday, September 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the WL
Northern football field
Practice #2 Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the WL
Northern football field
Practice #3, Dinner & Performance
Friday, September 25 from 5-8 p.m.
 5:00 pm Meet in Commons at WLN High School
 5-5:45 pm Practice with Majorettes and Band
 5:50 pm. Dinner with the Majorettes
 6:20-6:30 pm

Where:


9/22 & 9/23 – Meet at the field. Tuesday we will be on the field and Wednesday
we will likely be in the north parking lot band field. Look for Miss Rhonda. We
will be practicing outside with the band. Pickup will be the same place as drop off
at 8 p.m. We practice in all types of weather so dress accordingly, please. My
number is 248-425-3733 if you need to reach me.
The school is located at 6000 Bogie Lake Road in Commerce Township.
Pickup for the 9/25 game will be at the south end zone by the fence entrance to the
field. We will remain on the field just inside the fence. You will have to come to me
to pickup your daughter. No one will be dismissed on their own. Make sure you are
there following halftime please.
What to Bring:
1. Your baton. If you can twirl multiple batons, please bring those for sideline
twirling. It you don’t have a baton, we’ll bring one for you!
2. Wear warm clothing for practice. We will be outside under the lights with the
band. Have shorts on underneath in case we go inside to the gym. So, dress in
layers.
3. For the game, wear a costume of your choice with a sweat suit over it and then a
coat for the weather. We will wear the costume for the parade and pre-game and
then add our layers for sideline twirling depending on the weather. Don’t have a
costume?! No problem. Wear a t-shirt and shorts/yoga pants with tennis shoes.
It’s just fine!! But again, dress in layers, we want everyone to stay warm if the
weather is chilly!!
Cost:
$20, which includes nearly 3 hours of instruction, ticket into the game
(twirler only), parade & pre-game performances, as well as sideline twirling
AND…Dinner with the Majorettes. Check payable to the WLN Music Boosters.

$10 for the ENTIRE NIGHT!!

1. Email Miss Rhonda your RSVP by Saturday, September 19, 2015 and then bring
form and payment to the 9/22 practice.
