Mark Gwynne Jones live performance and workshop at QUAD in November
Mark Gwynne Jones, as heard on BBC Radio 4’s Wondermentalist Cabaret, will host a
performance and workshop at QUAD in November.
Observing the connections between clocks, cats and light bulbs, his new show is entitled Just for
a Moment.... ‘This is it!’ says Mark, ‘All that exists is this moment…and, of course, the 1001
things you’ve invented to distract you from it.’
Well known for surreal narratives with an almost music hall edge, 5-times fringe award winner,
Mark Gwynne Jones invites you to feel the moment in a mind-altering show that’s both funny and
thought provoking. Described as “Inspired” by The Guardian and “Astonishing” by The Daily Mail,
Mark will perform ‘Just for a Moment...’ on Saturday 17th November at 7:00pm, tickets are: £8,
£7concessions.
Mark Gwynne Jones will also be hosting an afternoon workshop. The workshop, Creating Visual
Metaphors, will explore the sounds of words, how and why we think in pictures and games to
unlock the imagination. This fun, creative workshop is aimed at providing inspiration for budding
writers, performers and poets but is open to anyone aged 14 years and above. Creating Visual
Metaphor Workshop with Mark Gwynne Jones takes place on Saturday 17th November, from
1:00pm until 3:30pm and tickets are: £6, or £5 concessions.
