在香港和加拿大学习工作 20 年,同时具有微生物学,环境化学和生态
学多重经验,主要从事水污染,饮用水消毒副产物,环境/食品微生物,有机
污染物环境行为,归宿,毒理及降解的研究。先后以第一项目负责人主持香
港研究资助局项目,香港教育资助局研究基金,香港浸会大学研究基金,香
港食物及卫生局项目等近 10 项。已接受和发表的 SCI 论文共 37 篇,总引用
为 423 次;近三年(2010-2012)共发表论文 20 篇;仅 2012 年,已发表和接
受论文 12 篇,总影响因子 40.191。在水资源影响因子排名第一的学刊 Water
Research(IF:4.865),以第一和通信作者共发表 7 篇研究论文。以主要发明
人申请专利 4 项(待批)。培养博士 2 人,硕士 8 人,授课硕士 50 多人。2013
年获中国科学院“百人计划”。
在水污染及饮用水消毒副产物方面,近年率团队的研究结果首次表明,
由于缺少森林覆盖及人类活动等各种因素的影响,在珠三角沿东江水库中的
有机物主要来自藻类,而非国外的大多数水体中所报道的源于木本植物的腐
殖质。同时,申请人的研究首次表明水体中藻类生化组成(蛋白质,脂类和
碳水化合物)可有效预测消毒副产物的产生。这对本地致癌消毒副产物的深
入研究提供了关键数据。对于有机污染物及重金属环境行为,归宿,毒理及
降解,也相应做了较长期的研究,特别是针对香港米埔自然保护区的各类污
染物,做了相对系统的研究。

Dr. Yan Liang obtained her PhD in Environmental Science from Hong
Kong Baptist University in 1997, and currently is an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Biology at HKBU. Prior to joining HKBU, she had
worked in Canada at the University of Victoria as a postdoctoral
researcher for nearly 4 years. Dr. Liang has authored and co-authored
nearly 30 papers in peer reviewed recognized international journals. Her

research focuses in the area of water pollution, more specifically

including formation and toxicology of disinfection by-products in
drinking water, novel technology in wastewater treatment (nutrients
removal, bio- and catalytic- degradation of organic pollutants), behavior
and fate of metals and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in aquatic
ecosystems, bioaccumulation and toxicity of metals and POPs in aquatic
organisms, etc.
