The first layout will allow the students to see the information in a larger screen – so they
can see it easier. The second layout will allow students to see the information in another
way which may be easier for the students to read the information.
Explanation to encourage critical thinking:



Students will be able to research all 50 states.
Students will be able to identify the mottos of each state, birds, vegetation, and annual
precipitation.
Critical thinking:
o Students will compare each facet of information found on the database.
o Students will compare vegetation zones.
o Students will be able to compare state size represented by using the political
map portion of the database.
o They will see the colors used in the flags and be able to investigate why the
states used these colors.
