Vienna is a city, where many Slovene
have left their own work or creation.
Pupils of Gimnazija Franca Miklošiča
Ljutomer have decided, that we are
going to Vienna and there
researching these things and see
some new things.
I am barely waiting on excursion,
because I have never been in Vienna

before. My friends told me, that is
Vienna a very beautiful city and also
very close. I expected that I will learn something new and see some of sights,
because Vienna is very famous about this.
Our excursion had begun on 20. April at 6
O´clock AM, when we were driving with bus to
Vienna. We will see some sights of Vienna and
at the same time have some fun. On a trip there
were also our class theacher Miss Bigec, Miss
Bale and Mrs. Jakelj. Ofcourse, we woudn´t
have seen Vienna whithout our tourist guide who
we had picked up in Slika 3: Natural history museum

Gornja Radgona. After about four hours of driving
we arrived in Vienna. When we were driving to
Slovenian ambassade, we had a great view of Vienna
buildings. They really looked very beautiful. Houses
were very big and with rich ornaments. City is full
of theaters and museums. I think the people here
are very delighted for culture and they looked very
friendly.

First we are going to Slovenian ambassade. We have
expected very big building, but an ambassade is very small.
It is big like two apartments. Despite small place people
were receiving very friendly. They have told us what to do,
when you lose your documents and some other useful
things.
After that we were going to Natural history museum
Vienna. There we had two hour of free time for looking
gigantic collection of minerals and stuff animals. Animals
were mainly here. We have seen a lot of them from small
flea to gigantic elephant. The most beautiful for me was

present for her husband. There is also stone of the Moon, but we didn´t see to
then.
When we looked the museum we were going to Vienna national library. Here we
had seen an original betrayal of Katekizem from Primož Trubar from year 1550.
After that we had some free time for dinner and
shoping. In the end we had visited Slovene scientist
institute in Vienna. Whit this was finished our first
day. We had arrived to hotel in which we had slept
then.
Next day we arrived to Schönbrun. This was the
summer home for Marija Terezija and her family.

Terezija and beautiful parks around palace were
shown to us. It was amazing. Only the bedroom of Franc Jožef II. had looked
very sad.
Then we were arrived to Vienna university. Here we
were looking busts of importmant mens for
university. We have also found Franc Miklošič
statue.
At the end are we went to Prater. There are we
had three hours free time. We ere driving with
train of dead and visited house of frightes. It was
very adrenalinly and fun, but it was also very
expensive.

At he end have we sat on bus and drove to home. On
the bus had we short quiz for OIV hours.
We are arrived in Ljutomer about 9 O´clock PM. We were very happy, because
we had great time in Vienna and because we bought a lot
of souvenirs.
For me the best of all was Natural history museum
Vienna. The most of animals I knew from pictures in
enciklopedias, but I was imagining some of animals
bigger or smaller.
I didn´t like Slovene scientist institute in Vienna. I
think this is only students home and not an institute. It

was a question how do you live in this home. The man
who was introducing this institute, said, that you have
to have good luck, if you want to come live in this institute. I think you need to
have a good conection for living in institute and this is not fair for students who
doesn´t have a lot of money or connection.
In these two days I have learned many things. I have never known that
Schönbrun was only summer residence for a king family and they have in the city
a palace from 18 other palaces.
Vienna is very beautiful city. There are many museums and palaces. There also
work a lot of Slovene, that why Vienna is also little Slovene city.
