HOMEWORK TASK
'HOLOCAUST ASSEMBLY'
HOW AND WHY DID
THE HOLOCAUST HAPPEN ?
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Key Skills - Enquiry - Interpretation
1.
Your task is to write, produce and present a Year 9 Assembly,
based on the treatment of the Jews in Europe 1933-1945.
2.
It must be presented on a powerpoint presentation and must be
between 3 - 5 slides maximum.
3.
Your assembly presentation must last around 5 - 10 minutes and
include the following:
Theme
Music (this can be on a CD, if you like)
Prayer or Poem (prayer thoughts) at the beginning and
the end

Your assembly must cover three key questions:

What eventually happened to the Jews?
Give details of one death camp and what it would be like to
be there.

TASK INSTRUCTIONS
You will be expected to complete the following:
1. How did the Nazis treat the
Jews 1933-1939
Think about these questions to help you in this section:
- Why the Jews were disliked in Nazi Germany 1933-1939?
- How were they treated by the German people who were not
Jews and how they coped without any real money during this
time? Provide examples.

What was the final solution? (Hitler’s decision to kill all Jews)
Who did it affect?
Include facts/figures. Details about the transportation etc.
